Chinese Herbs

Chinese Herbs are an integral part of healing in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Cosmetic Acupuncture

Cupping

Cupping is a technique that uses small glass cups as suction devices that are placed on the skin.  Once the suction has occurred, the cups are gently moved across the skin causing the skin and superficial muscle layer to be lightly drawn into the cup. The suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles and encourage blood flow. Cupping is used to relieve back and neck pain, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines, rheumatism, and can even reduce the appearance of cellulite.

Pediatric Tui Na

Lori gained additional training in Pediatric Tui Na at American College of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine.  This is a gentle Chinese bodywork technique used for children that applies acupressure and massage to treat common childhood ailments such as those related to digestion, sleep, mood, asthma, and allergies.

Testimonials

"I have immune system challenges, digestive issues, and insomnia.  Lori has provided acupuncture and herbal formulas for these conditions, and I have experienced dramatic improve-ment under her care.  Lori is unique in that her acupuncture technique is gentle and painless, and she is very efficient and respectful of time constraints, which is important to me since I take time from my work day for acupuncture treatments.  I find her bright, compassionate, caring, and very knowledgable, and I highly recommend her."

"As a teenager, I broke my back, and I have lived with chronic pain for decades.  During a visit to Houston, I received acupuncture from Lori for my back pain, and for the first time in nearly 40 years, my pain was considerably diminished.  I was able to do everyday tasks again without pain or discomfort.  The effects of the single treatment lasted 6 weeks.  I cannot wait to travel to Houston again, so I can receive another acupuncture treatment from Lori."

"I went to see Lori to see if she could help me to deal with stress and an inability to sleep. Along with some acupuncture, she gave me an herbal prescription that, honestly, I was pretty skeptical about. After taking the herbs for one week, I was sleeping through the night and waking up refreshed. The stress remained, but I was able to cope with it so much better; I was a much calmer and mellow person. I was astonished".
